śrī matsya stotraṃ
nūnaṃ tvaṃ bhagavān sākṣāddharirnārāyaṇo'vyayaḥ |
anugrahāya bhūtānāṃ dhatse rūpaṃ jalaukasām || 1 ||
namaste puruṣaśreṣṭha sthityutpatyapyayeśvara |
bhaktānāṃ naḥ prapannānāṃ mukhyo hyātmagatirvibho || 2 ||
sarve līlāvatārāste bhūtānāṃ bhūtihetavaḥ |
jñātumicchāmyado rūpaṃ yadarthaṃ bhavatā dhṛtam || 3 ||
na te'raviṃdākṣapadopasarpaṇaṃ
mṛṣā bhāvetsarva suhṛt priyātmanaḥ |
yathetareṣāṃ pṛthagātmanāṃ satā-
-madīdṛśo yadvapuradbhutaṃ hi naḥ || 4 ||
iti śrīmadbhāgavate caturviṃśatitamo'dhyāye śrī matsya stotram ||

1. “O Lord! You are verily Hari, the eternal Narayana Himself. For the welfare of all beings, You have assumed the form of a fish dwelling in the waters.”
