Sri Matangi Stotram

    1.    Lord Shiva says — “O Divine Mother! Those who worship Your lotus feet attain fame and glory greater than even the gods; sages too gain supreme wealth and wisdom through Your devotion.”
    2.    I bow to Goddess Matangi, adorned with the crescent moon, who bestows sacred knowledge revealed in the Vedas and awakens divine wisdom in Her devotees.
    3.    Even the gods and demons adore Her lotus feet with gems; kings who worship Her attain great prosperity and success.
    4.    I praise the gentle Goddess Matangi, who plays the Veena and delights the hearts of Her devotees — graceful and radiant like a living melody.
    5.    With leaf-like earrings, lotus-like eyes, and the brilliance of lightning, She shines as the beloved of Shiva, glowing with divine beauty.
    6.    O Mother, whose waist is adorned with three folds of beauty and whose body glows like the blue lotus — I meditate on You with devotion.
    7.    I hold in my heart the daughter of Sage Matanga, Her hair adorned with garlands of kadamba flowers, Her compassionate eyes like lotus petals.
    8.    O Maheshwari, with red lips, tender smile, and serene face — I bow to You, the consort of Shiva.
    9.    Those who praise Goddess Matangi with devotion gain supreme fortune and reside eternally in Kailasa, the divine abode.
    10.    I worship Sumukhi, seated on a corpse, radiant as the rising sun, with gentle smile, round breasts, and divine brilliance — the embodiment of bliss.
