Sri Kalika Stotram 2

In this hymn, the devotee prays that Goddess Kālikā — the majestic force behind the universe — may reside permanently in his heart. Despite human impurity or error, Kāli instantly purifies and elevates the seeker to divine consciousness. She is the fierce one who destroys powerful demons and protects the righteous, the one whose strength unmatched by any army.

Her radiant nose ornaments, lotus-red eyes, and crimson lips express both beauty and power. Whether in manifest or unmanifest form, she lovingly watches over her devotees. Her anklets ring in cosmic rhythm, her garments shimmer like lightning, and her form glows with gems and divine ornaments. As she moves, creation itself vibrates with her presence.

With lotus-like eyes, moon-like face, silk garments, and boundless compassion, she removes sin and destroys the fears of worldly existence. Descending from the peaks of Meru and arriving upon the banks of Yamuna, she radiates royal power as the beloved daughter of Himavan and the adored of celestial beings.

Her dark curls, jeweled garlands, and saffron-marked forehead bless the devotee with prosperity, joy, and spiritual well-being. A single sight of Kāli dispels grief and sorrow and protects living beings from suffering. She is the embodiment of experience, the savior of life, worshipped even by the gods.

One who recites this hymn with purity and devotion attains the presence of the Goddess, fulfills all desires, and achieves divine union. Kaila’s grace brings victory, protection, peace, and ultimate auspiciousness.
