The Kali Shanti Stotram is a powerful hymn praising the fierce and compassionate goddess Kali in her many secret and cosmic forms. It begins by saluting Kali, Mahakali, and Guhya Kali as the destroyer of sins and the giver of righteousness, wealth, fulfillment, and liberation. The devotee seeks victory in battles of life, abundance at home, and harmony in all pursuits.
The stotram vividly describes the terrifying yet divine aspects of the goddess—Ulka-mukhi, fire-tongued, roaring fiercely, dwelling in cremation grounds, and accepting the darkest offerings from the cosmos.
