Shree kaal'ee kavacham' (trailokyavijayam')

The Sri Kalika Kavacham (Trilokya Vijaya) is a supreme protective hymn revealed by Lord Shiva, dedicated to Adya Kali—the primal cosmic Mother. It grants victory across all three worlds, destroys enemies, removes dangers, and bestows prosperity, long life, and spiritual fulfillment.

The kavacham identifies Shiva as the seer, Anushtubh as the meter, and Adya Kali as the presiding deity. The bija “Kreem” is the key for manifesting desired accomplishments. The kavacham assigns different forms of Kali and the Mother-goddesses to protect each part of the body: Hreem guarding the head, Shreem protecting the face, Kreem guarding the heart, Parashakti guarding the throat, Jagaddhatri protecting the eyes, Shankari guarding the ears, Mahamaya the nose, Sarvamangala the tongue, and so on—forming a complete subtle body armor.

The eight mother goddesses and various aspects of the Divine Mother—Kuleshani, Kapardini, Apatna, Prabhavati, Kalyani, Parvati, Jayadurga—protect the nerves, limbs, life-force, and vital organs. Even if any region is not consciously protected, Adya Kali fills the gap herself.

One who recites this kavacham during worship is blessed with fulfillment of all desires: wealth, progeny, knowledge, love, fame, and kingship. Mantra siddhi, kshudra siddhi, and mastery over subtle forces arise quickly. Inscribing the kavacham on birch bark with sandalwood, saffron, kasturi, or red sandalwood and wearing it on the body makes Kali completely favorable and protective; the devotee becomes fearless, victorious, long-lived, and powerful.

The kavacham states that reciting it a thousand times yields complete purascharana success. The devotee becomes skilled in all sciences, strong in body, clear in intellect, and honored by kings. Both worldly prosperity and liberation rest in his hands.

Ultimately, the Trilokya Vijaya Kavacham establishes an impenetrable spiritual armor protecting the devotee from enemies, illness, suffering, and failure—granting triumph in every realm.
