Meaning
This hymn praises the twelve sacred names of Lord Garuda, the mighty divine eagle and the eternal servant of Lord Vishnu. He is Suparna, Vainateya, the destroyer of serpents, the terror of all poisonous beings, the conqueror of death, the slayer of toxins, the undefeated one, and the cosmic form who protects the worlds. He is Garutmān, the foremost among birds, Tārkṣya, and the illustrious son of Sage Kashyapa. These names glorify Garuda as the supreme protector against venom, fear, and unseen dangers.
One who recites these names early in the morning, during bath, or even while resting will never be harmed by poison or poisonous creatures. Snakes or dangerous beings cannot injure such a devotee. Success arises in battle, conflicts, or challenging situations. Bondages are removed, and during travel, safety and success are assured. This stotram acts as a powerful shield of protection and blessings.
Benefits:
• Protection from snakes, poison, and harmful creatures
