Maha Tripura Sundari Shatkam

The Maha Tripura Sundari Shatkam is a set of six deeply meditative verses composed to help the devotee establish the divine form of Tripura Sundari in the heart. Each verse reveals a different mystical quality of the Goddess—beauty, compassion, purity, supreme knowledge, and cosmic sovereignty.

The first verse visualizes Her adorned with radiant gem-studded earrings, residing in the Sri Chakra, sporting in the lotus of the devotee’s mind, seated on the left side of Lord Shiva. All gods bow at Her lotus feet, signifying Her as the supreme source of auspiciousness.

The second verse describes Her as worshipped by Sage Matanga and great yogis. She destroys accumulated sins, cools the burning fires of worldly desire, and dwells in the hearts of disciplined seekers. Her compassionate gaze brings peace and liberation.

The third verse shows Her as the giver of poetic inspiration and divine speech. She is worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu, and other deities. Her presence transcends all injunctions and prohibitions, illuminating the path of true wisdom. She stands flanked by Ganesha and Skanda, radiating divine brilliance.

The fourth verse praises Her as more radiant than a thousand moons and the dispeller of darkness. She created the three worlds, smiles like the soothing moon, and awakens spiritual clarity in devotees who surrender to Her.

The fifth verse depicts Her being worshipped by celestial beings, with lotus-like eyes, bearing the bow, arrows, noose, and goad—symbols of spiritual control and divine grace. She resides in the purified lotus of the visuddhi chakra, granting protection and transformation.

The sixth verse reveals Her as worshipped by sages who are free from worldly attachment. She bestows pure intellect, destroys evil forces, shines with precious ornaments, and receives royal service from Brahma and Vishnu themselves. She is the embodiment of compassion, beauty, and supreme wisdom.

Reciting and meditating upon these six verses brings deep inner peace, spiritual clarity, divine protection, removal of sins and obstacles, and the boundless grace of Tripura Sundari.
