Kumari Stotram

The Kumari Stotram is a gentle yet deeply powerful hymn praising the Goddess in her youthful, pure, radiant form called “Kumari.” She is worshipped as the embodiment of all Shaktis, the mother of the universe, the source of knowledge, purity, compassion, and protection.

The opening verses adore her as Jagat-Pūjyā and Jagad-Vandyā — worshipped across the universe. She is the essence of the three gunas, the three goals of life, and the threefold divinity (Trimurti). She is the bringer of auspiciousness, compassion, purity, and universal well-being.

The stotra then praises her as the bearer of the eight siddhis (from aṇimā onward), the mother of alphabets, the controller of infinite energies, and the radiant Lakshmi and Rohini who bestow abundance and splendor. As Kālikā, she governs time; as Kāmadā, she fulfills desires; as Karuṇodārā, she showers limitless grace.

Her fierce forms — Chandikā, Chandamayī, Chanda-vigrahā — are invoked as protectors who destroy negative forces. Yet the same goddess is Sadananda-karī, the giver of peace, the soul of all beings, and the beloved Shambhavi.

The stotra also salutes her as Durga — remover of deep sorrow, destroyer of difficult obstacles, and protector in dangerous times. As Subhadra, she grants auspiciousness, beauty, harmony, and prosperity.

Thus, the Kumari Stotram beautifully balances the gentle, graceful, fierce, and protective aspects of the Divine Mother.
