Sri Shanibadha Vimochana Shabareeshwara Ashtakam

    1.    Salutations to the Supreme Lord who removes the afflictions of Saturn and the sorrows of life, dwelling in Kanakālaya as Bhuthanatha.
    2.    O Lord, quickly destroy poverty, disease, dullness of mind, and all troubles caused by Saturn.
    3.    O mighty-armed one, destroyer of all sorrow, protect me from ghostly afflictions and great distress.
    4.    Endless suffering and unspeakable pain surround me — O Lord, dispel them completely.
    5.    O compassionate one, remover of illusion and delusion, grant joy to the hearts of Your devotees.
    6.    O Guha (Lord Subrahmanya’s essence within You), destroy the sins and sorrows born of countless births, radiant like the ocean-born Goddess.
    7.    O Maheshwara, save me from madness, ghostly afflictions, and distress. Extend Your hand of grace, O Shanideva, and protect me.
    8.    Grant me sharp intellect, eternal youth, and supreme bliss, O Lord of Lords, protector of the universe.
