Rama Patya Ashtakam

The Sri Ramapatya Ashtakam praises Lord Vishnu—the eternal consort of Goddess Lakshmi—as the Supreme Being, the origin of creation, and the compassionate protector of all beings. He is described as timeless, formless yet embodied, adorned with conch, discus, mace, and lotus, shining like the autumn sky. Yogis meditate upon Him easily, while He remains unattainable for the wicked but ever gracious to the noble.

He resides in the hearts of sages, accepts the offerings of all sacred rituals, and effortlessly destroys the pride of the gods and demons. He is the one who humbled the arrogance of the asuras, purified the hearts of devotees, and saved Gajendra with unmatched compassion. He eliminates the binding knots of samsara, grants refuge, and bestows purity upon all who surrender.
He is the destroyer of old age, sorrow, disease, and fear; the one whose radiant heart is filled with limitless compassion. His beauty illuminates the universe, filling all directions with divine grace. He is the essence of all worlds, the embodiment of wonderous power, the eternal friend of all beings, and the supreme goal of spiritual life.

The phalashruti declares that whoever recites this Ashtakam with unwavering devotion attains liberation and reaches the supreme abode of Lord Vishnu.
