Panchayudha Stotram

The Panchayudha Stotram is a powerful hymn praising the five divine weapons of Lord Vishnu — each symbolizing a unique cosmic force of protection, purification, and divine justice.

The Sudarshana Chakra is glorified first — blazing with thousands of radiant flames, equal to millions of suns, eternally destroying demonic forces and negative energies. The devotee seeks refuge in this supreme disc.

Next is the Pāñchajanya Conch — pure white like the moon, whose sound shatters the pride of demons and fills the gods with courage.
The Kaumodaki Mace — golden, mountain-strong, destroyer of asura clans, lovingly held in Vishnu’s left hand in Vaikuntha.
The Nandaka Sword — sharp, blazing, smeared with the blood of evil beings; it cuts through both enemies and ignorance.
The Shārnga Bow — whose thunderous twang makes demons tremble and gods feel instantly fearless.

The phalashruti declares that chanting this hymn at dawn removes sins, fears, sorrows, and grants protection and happiness. Whether in forests, battles, water, fire, or facing enemies, this stotram grants unshakeable safety.

The concluding additional verses praise Vishnu’s radiant form and invoke His avatars—Varaha, Vamana, Narasimha, and Kesava—to protect the devotee in all situations.
