    2.    Worshipped by gods, demons, and humans alike, remover of dullness, divine essence of the Vedas — may Saraswati cleanse my heart.
    3.    Adored by the wise, radiant with divine beauty and ornaments, may She dispel my impurities.
    4.    With a face cool as the moon, holding a water-pot, rosary, and book — may Saraswati, the awakener of intellect, purify me.
    5.    She removes doubts from the mind, destroys sins, and sustains a stream of virtue — may Saraswati protect me.
    6.    The destroyer of enemies, strengthener of kings and scholars, remover of afflictions of the devoted — may She protect me.
    7.    Clad in white, radiant, pure, her brilliance scattering darkness — may Saraswati remove all my sins.
    8.    She calms the fire of worldliness, spreads compassion like a mantra, and purifies the minds of beings — may Saraswati bless me.
