pariṣkṛtasthāpitaratnadīpe jyotirmayīṃ prajjvalayāmi devīṃ |
namāmyahaṃ matkulavṛddhidātrīṃ, saudādi sarvāṃgaṇaśobhamānāṃ ||
bho dīpalakṣmi prathitaṃ yaśo me pradehi māṃgalyamamoghaśīle |
bhartṛpriyāṃ dharmaviśiṣṭaśīlāṃ, kuruṣva kalyāṇyanukaṃpayā māṃ ||
yāṃtarbahiścāpi tamo'pahaṃtrī, saṃdhyāmukhārādhitapādapadmā |

śarīrārogyamaiśvaryamaripakṣakṣayassukhaṃ |
devi tvaddṛṣṭidṛṣṭānāṃ puruṣāṇāṃ na durlabhaṃ ||

Meaning
1️⃣ Inside the home, on a clean golden altar,
one should prepare the space with flowers, colors, and incense — then light the lamp filled with ghee as a symbol of divine brilliance.
2️⃣ “O Deepa Lakshmi! O Goddess of Light!”
May this radiant flame bring glory, fortune, and prosperity to my home and family.
3️⃣ The devotee prays:
“O Deepa Lakshmi! Make me pure, auspicious, and virtuous — bless me with divine grace, love, and peace.”
