Meaning

One hundred and eight names of Budha, Mercury among the grahas, opening simply Om Budhaaya Namah. Budha means the one who knows. He is the son of Chandra and Tara, and the whole lunar dynasty of the epics — Pururavas, Yayati, the Kauravas and Pandavas — descends from him, which is why his names reach past the planet into lineage as well as intellect.
