Saravana Bhava Devasenesha Shatkam

Sharavanabhava Devasenesha Shatkam is a six-verse devotional hymn composed by Jagadguru Sri Satchidananda Shivabhinava Narasimha Bharati of Sringeri. The hymn praises Lord Subrahmanya as “Sharavanabhava” and “Devasenesha,” highlighting His divine beauty, protective power, and compassionate nature.

Meaning (Balanced):
The opening verse praises the Lord holding the powerful Vel (Shakti), worshipped by all gods, protecting devotees with divine grace. His brilliant form adorned with golden silk radiates purity and valour.

He is described as the radiant son of Shiva, whose splendor equals millions of suns. Even Time (Kala) bows before His joyous power.

His lotus feet are worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu, and the gods, and He lifts His devotees to higher spiritual states.
The Lord who ended the tyranny of Tarakasura is hailed for removing obstacles from the ocean of worldly suffering.

The final verse praises Him as the beloved son of Parvati, the consort of Devasena, and the one celebrated in the Vedas. His presence grants auspiciousness, wisdom, and divine protection.
