Sri Anjaneya Mangalashtakam

1. Salutations and auspiciousness to Hanuman — son of Anjana and Kesari, blessed by Shiva, Gauri, and Vayu, born of the five sacred fires, radiant and pure.
2. Born in the month of Vaishakha, on the tenth day of the dark fortnight, under Purvabhadra star, on a Tuesday — auspicious is this birth of the mighty Hanuman.
3. Salutations to the five-faced hero, destroyer of Kalnemi, born in the Kaushika (Kaundinya) lineage, embodiment of valor — auspicious be Hanuman.
4. To Him who has Suvarchala as consort, four-armed divine warrior, who rides the camel as His vehicle — auspicious be Hanuman.
5. With a divine golden body, clothed in yellow garments, shining like molten gold, radiating divine brilliance — auspicious be Hanuman.
6. Compassionate and generous, fond of fruits and sweets, adorned with a ruby necklace — may auspiciousness ever dwell in Hanuman’s name.

8. Who dwells in Gandhamadana and roams the celestial groves of Rambha, Lord of all worlds and eternal servant of Rama — auspicious be Hanuman.
